God Subramanya, the son of God Shiva, is worshipped here.

Peralassery Sri Subramanya Temple is situated near Kannur in Kerala.

God Subramanya, the son of God Shiva, is worshipped here.

The main attraction at the temple is the beautifully crafted geometrical structure of the temple pond stepwell. It is largest in Kerala. It has been so beautifully made that it is hard for a visitor to resist admiring its architecture. The steps leading to the well are numerous, and they have been made in a geometrical design.

The stepwell resembles the many baoris found in north India. As per local belief, the waters of Cauvery River mysteriously make their way to stepwell on Thula Sankramam, thus rendering the stepwell always equipped for devotees to take a dip and offer oblations.
