At present, various state governments of India manage the administration of thousands of Hindu temples, both small and large. No such practice exists anywhere among secular democracies. Even in India, Muslim and Christian places of worship are exempt from government control.
In essence, Hindus will enjoy the freedom to manage their own religious affairs if they are granted the right to manage their own temples. With that freedom comes all the benefits associated with self management.
1)India is a secular country. Discrimination based on majority or minority is against the constitution.
2)The State Governments can not and should not take the rights to manage Hindu temples and places of worship and manage their revenues.
3)It is against the fundamental principles of the constitution and hence the Hindu temples should be immediately freed from the clutches of the Government.
4)The revenues received from Hindu temples are also not used only for the purpose of promoting that religion and also countless temples are lying unattended whereas the governments are diverting the funds received from temples for various other purposes.
5)Even non Hindus are appointed to various positions diluting the same further.
6) The temples maintained by the Government are very poorly run and against the Aagamas and Shastras of the Hindu religion.
7) The thiruvattaru temple of south Tamil Nadu is lying unattended for the last ten years awaiting Kumbabishegam.
8) The funds generated are misused and misappropriated by the Government staff.
9) Moorthies are stolen and sold like veggies.
