impositions of "Catholicism" "Russian orthodoxy" and "Soviet atheism"

Estonia has spent many centuries suffering from the impositions of "Catholicism" "Russian orthodoxy" and "Soviet atheism" and having liberated themselves from such impositions they now freely express themselves as a people whose identity is in the land, the earth and Mother Nature.

~The largest island of Estonia is the region of Saaremaa, its name meaning "the land ( maa ) of islands ( saare )" a name whose suffix "Maa" reflects the culture of Estonia as it means more than simply land and earth, it represents the personality behind them "Mother Nature".

~"Maa" meaning land and earth, is also seen in the Ancient name for Estonia which is "Maarahvas" whose meaning is "the people ( rahvas ) of the land ( maa )" and also "Maavald" whose meaning is "the realm ( vald ) of the country ( maa )".

~"Maa" meaning land and earth, also forms the name of the Ancient deity of Estonia who is known as "Maausk" a worshipful goddess who is the personality behind the land, the personality behind the earth, and who is seen by the people of Estonia as "Mother Nature" which is the true meaning of the word "Maa".

~"Maa" meaning land and earth, is then seen in the Estonian region of "Virumaa" whose name means "the land ( maa ) of the brave ( viru )" the Viru is also from the Sanskrit Vira meaning "brave" and seen in words such as Virtue and Virile.

~"Virumaa" meaning the "land ( maa ) of the brave ( viru )" was also the home of the Vironians, an ancient dynasty who were instrumental in the formation of Estonia, their name meaning the "brave" is from Viru whose source is the Sanskrit Vira meaning "brave".

~The Ancient Vedas recognise planet earth as our Mother, which is known in Sanskrit as "Matr" meaning that which "performs the function ( tr ) of setting the limits ( ma )". Its extremely probable that the Estonian "Maa" which expresses the land and the earth, is a shortened version of this Sanskrit "Matr" just as we have the Croatian "Ma" and the Portuguese "Mae" meaning "mother".
